How the ACMI works
The ACMI measures four pillars

Where agentic commerce actually breaks?

  • Discovery

Your products are indexed. They're just never the one an agent recommends.

    • Can agents find your products at all
    • Do they get your brand right, not a generic guess
    • Are you set up to be recommended, not just listed
  • Transactions

The agent completes the purchase. You can't prove it happened, or who's liable if it doesn't.

    • Can an agent complete a purchase, start to finish
    • Do you get paid and credited correctly for it
    • Who's on the hook if something goes wrong
  • Fulfillment

The agent promises a delivery date your warehouse never agreed to.

    • Do your delivery promises match what actually happens
    • Can customers get help and returns sorted afterward
    • Do you own the customer relationship, or does the agent
  • Operations

Everything above breaks if your data can't answer a machine in real time.

    • Are your data and systems actually ready to plug in
    • Would you notice if something broke
    • Who's allowed to touch what, and can you prove it

We knew agents were sending us traffic. We didn’t know they were reading our return policy as “unclear” and skipping us for it. ACMI is the first time someone showed us the gap instead of just the score.

Things worth noting.

20–30 minutes, 24 questions across four pillars.

Yes. All 24 questions need an answer before we can calculate your final score.

Normal, especially in Operations—a few questions may need a quick check with IT or data. Most people complete it solo.

Each question is scored 1–5. Pillar scores are the average of their questions; your overall score is the average of all four pillars.

Not yet. ACMI is building an independent benchmark from an initial round of assessments. Until then, your score shows your own gaps, not a ranking.

Your answers are stored to calculate and reproduce your result. They are not public, and they are not currently used to compare companies.

Yes. Retaking it every 6–12 months is the recommended way to track progress.
